Telluride Time:)!!

I am off for family vacation and very excited about changing zip codes!!!!  I have signed up at a local yoga studio for the two weeks and plan on creating my own retreat!!  The kids are also super excited to hike with us, go rafting, play golf, and go on a hot air balloon ride.  I am going to take advantage of being "away" to un plug a bit.  I plan on posting some of my favorite past posts while I am away:)  Stay tuned for pics form our family vacay when we return!!

BIndu Yoga Studio- OBSESSED

 I have always had a great appreciation for yoga and enjoyed the practice.  However, I was unable to find a local class that provided a challenge with the peaceful afterglow I craved.  At last I have, Angel, owner and instructor of Bindu Yoga Studio is flat out FANTASTIC!!  You can check out her studio HERE .  If you happen to be in town this summer, treat yourself to an hour of bliss and rejuvenation:)  If not, be sure to put this on your fall schedule. Family Movie Night

This summer has been filled with plenty of Family Movie Nights!  My kids love this tradition full of snuggle time and popcorn!!  I found these little popcorn holders at my local grocery and they make it that much MORE fun:)

Flat Stanley

This is my son's Flat Stanley visiting The Sabine River in Texas.  I recommend this "project" to anyone home with kids this summer.  Macky did it last fall as part of his kindergarten class.  You and your kids will have such fun reading about Flat Stanley and then making your own to mail off for an adventure.  Ask each person to take pictures of Stanley and write about where they took him and then mail him back to you.  We waited so excitedly to receive Stanley back and read all about his trips!

I  know should be covered in an amazing summer tan, however it has eluded me a bit due to work and the temperature in Florida.  It  simply prohibits prolonged time outdoors:(

Homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches! YUM

Wednesday Night Casa Pulitzer

Our FAVORITE

Homemade Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches 

8 ounces unsalted butter or butter flavored shortening
11 ounces brown rice flour, approximately 2 cups
1 1/4 ounces cornstarch, approximately 1/4 cup
1/2-ounce flour, approximately 2 tablespoons
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 ounces sugar, approximately 1/4 cup
10 ounces light brown sugar, approximately 1 1/4 cups
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons whole milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup toffee pieces
1/2 cup toasted almond slivers

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream butter. Add both of the sugars to the bowl with the butter and using the paddle attachment, cream together on medium speed for 1 minute. Add the whole egg, egg yolk, milk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Slowly incorporate the flour mixtures until thoroughly combined. Add the chocolate, toffee and nuts, and stir to combine.

Without ANY doubt, use Blue Bell vanilla ice cream;)  hands down the best !!

OVERLOAD!!

I have been away too long!!

  Not physically away, just mentally allowing myself to be bogged down with things that take me away from being at ease and happy:(  I have been totally overloaded and feeling a bit like poor Milton:(  Left to wonder "will I ever catch up"?  Well it is like a light went off and I remembered a golden rule!  If you cannot change something, change the way you think about it! WOW, I am feeling better already!  I am planning a massage tomorrow on my lunch hour, a wonderful weekend with my family for the forth, and to basically get back to being the task master I am!  LOL

Jersey Shore is all the rage??  I sure do not get this show and another season just seems like a fashion show of constant DONT"S  !!  I realize people LOVE a train a wreck situation, but PLEEEEASE NO MORE

  

MTV Madness...The Good And The Not So Good

Please tell me you saw this live, it stole the show!  The 2010 MTV Movie Awards Show that is.  Outrageous is almost the standard at this event but Tom Cruises STANDOUT performance topped all the other attempts by young newbies to be the performance everyone is talking about!

Classic Tented Cabana Stripes...O Yeah

Summer cabana stripes have totally taken over my mind!  I am obsessed with this crisp, cool, and AFFORDABLE option for transforming a space that is ready for a bit of pizzazz.  I think this works best in a small space with wide set stripes, go on, go for it!!
I am working on a design board for my upcoming shop makeover and I'm pretty sure you will find a fabulous striped redo in my powder room !!!!!

SO glad to be back to doing the things I love!!

AHHHHH I am finally back to my life:)

Well our trip went off with all the bells and whistles!!  We relaxed, experienced the culture, and acquired tourists tans...aka SUNBURNS!!  We spent time in the spa, the beach, hiking, and in a cave??  We had room service EVERY morning, had a beach boy,  and completely relaxed into DR paradise...So basically it was over the top FABULOUS!!!!!

I scour design magazines regularly and always love to see what celebrities have done with their homes, especially fashion designers!  When I saw an editorial on one of Valentino's homes I was taken away by this bedroom.  Holy headboard!!  The scale of this painting is so fabulous and over the top it is a game changer!!!

What do you expect from a man who beams of style and grace!

A Day At The Apple Store Is A Good Day

Yesterday turned out to be a stellar day thanks to my beloved Apple Store!!  I dragged both kids with me in hopes of getting some help with Mackys itouch.  Turns out is was defective yet under warranty and he got a brand new one for free!!  Next daddy's iphone is acting up so we give that a whirl, defective, under warranty and he got a new one for free!  This is why I LOVE Apple they always take such great care of their devoted Apple OBSESSED customers!!  I also got a HUGE kick out of watching all the "older" people seeking help oogling over Macky and Lucy running those huge imacs as if it were child's play!!  It is a new generation that is basically born with an iphone in their hand and an ipad on their xmas wish list:)

Looks like a lot of fun was had this weekend by the super chic KP Girls!  The best dressed girls in Palm Beach were spotted in their KP gear at The Non Gala Gala for WPB 100 at The Ann Norton Sculpture Garden , The Beach Clubs White Party, and hanging out in Palm Beach hot spots!  You all look fab and are oozing confidence in your oh so stylish picks:)
