White Paint Calms The Soul

Ahh, there.. now isn't that better.  This relaxes me just looking at it.  When I moved to Florida (from Texas) I was smitten by the tropical lifestyle.  And although I still LOVE the beach, the ocean, and wearing flip flops year round I am headed back to my roots!  I painted every room in my home a different tropical color and filled every bowl with seashells and citrus.  It was fun but I must say white interiors with old woods and antiques is really just more where my heart is!  I am starting my DIY white paint  project very soon:)


I will post pics of the renovation and the BIG smile that is going to be on my face:)

My ode to St. Patrick's Day interior inspiration a la green:)

Need something green?  Well maybe you do since in it St. Pattys Day!  I have never been one for green beer and rowdy bar crowds, but I am one for a cute outfit:)  These bib necklaces come in turquoise, black, and GREEN.  They come with an adorable white tank but also detach so you can tie them over anything you like!!

Weenend Treat

If this weekend in South Florida was not your idea of perfect weather..well I just do not know about that!!  It was just perfect and we made it all about the kids:)  St. Julianna Irish festival all day Saturday and a kid party at our house on Sunday.  You cannot imagine the sheer joy that came over the kids in the pool when they heard the ice cream truck!!!  It truly felt like spring break and I have the sunburn to prove it:)

Kate the Great

I am sure we can all agree at one point or another Kate has inspired our look.  Or at least we wanted to look like her.  I love how she always looks like she just threw something on as she walked out the door.  I think if you only buy things you LOVE this is easy to pull off!  What I am in love with today is still my relaxed weekender boyfriend jeans, they just feel sooooo good:)

I am really enjoying my time in the dance studio again even if it is just my yoga studio.  Lucy and I go to the studio together on Saturday mornings and while she has her lesson I take Yoga.

Field Trip...this is a MUST see for PB county residents

So, if you have not been to and taken your kids to The girls strawberry u pick you should right away!!  We went for a field trip and I decided to take both my kids along for the ride:)  When you pull up it looks like an average old Florida shopping center.  When you walk into the old fashioned ice cream parlor and kids dream candy store it is very obvious it is much more.  Just walk out the back door, grab your bucket for your fresh picks, and enter an old Florida wonderland and a truly charming experience.

Acres and acres of hydroponic strawberries stacked in planters so you can pick them very easily!

Lucy (my 4 1/2 year old) has a huge thing for strawberry shortcake and was really BESIDE herself the entire day:)  She particularly LOVED this old car:)

When we got home we decided to make this strawberry pie, what a fun way to spend the day with my kids!!

Well here is it:)  This was such an amazing way to spend the day with my kids!!  The Girls strawberry u pick was oozing with old Florida charm and I loved every minute:)

How great that ease and comfort look THIS good!  I am obsessed with denim, obsessed with blazers, and obsessed with this look.  I particularly love the strong shoulders and boyfriend slouchy style jeans.  I am living in my Commonwealth weekender pair that just arrived in my shop!!

Back on the horse,aka the treadmill

Well after a long( in my book) hiatus from the gym (three weeks)  I am BACK!!  There is just no better feeling in the world than the feeling I have after a great workout:)  Today I did 20/20/20 circuit training at 180 Fitness and damn I feel good!!!!  I encourage you all to try this or any class and get yourself in gear:)  There is nothing better to a fashionista than feeling good in your skinny jeans lol!!  Amazing the amount of "stuff" that clears out of you head as well, adios stress!!!

This look is so effortless and so current (my new American Idol lingo)!  I have been wearing these classic Ray Ban shades everyday and cannot get enough.  I just got in a re order of black boyfriend blazers and have been wearing mine over EVERYTHING!!!  Add an arm full of bangles like mine here and chino style pants ( I have some adorable styles in my shop).  Ready to seriously Rock and Roll!

Black and White, the perfect canvas

After a nice weekend at home with my family I am inspired to make a few changes, mainly add this IKEA rug to the mix.  I am partial to black and white interiors with pops of color and this rug suites me perfectly!  What is not to love about IKEA?  Affordable, stylish, and  great quality!  Amazing how sometimes one item can transform a room, and this item defiantly does the trick:)

Packing my bags! Well not really just planning my spring must have wish list

Cropped AG boyfriend jeans, boatneck nautical strip 3/4 sleeve top, shinny thin havianas (do not forget matching ones for Lucy, or she will freak out), hot pink bandeau bikini, new gold ray ban aviators, white straw fedora, diamonds and hot pink lip gloss! Yep that pretty much covers it;)

Mixing HIGH and low;)

I am just wild about mixing it up! I never reccomend head to toe in one designer and I ALWAYS suggest mixing pieces to create a unique look! This case in point, today I combined my new flea market watch (obsessed) with my white enamel large Hermes cuff, then threw on a couple jelly bracelets (from my kids trick or treat basket), and a black bamboo bangle to complete the look. Totally KP, unique, and sure to stand out! OK your turn, just be sure to mix pieces you LOVE and do not forget the high/low concept, sure to come off fabulous!!!

How about that! I LOVE every single option in essies spring line up...this rarely happens. Lavender is SO of this moment, pinks always rules, and classic red and coral!! Oh my, this is gonna be fun!!!

Trendy Time

I realize trends come and go but they are coming in a rapid speed at the moment!! Here is my opinion on which ones will STAY!!

* I am still loving the boyfriend jeans and feel girls will continue this romance:)

*Statements necklaces for sure will pass but not just yet, Pick up one great piece you love and mix it with all your favorite looks!

*Oversized bags, girls just LOVE to travel with all their "stuff" and these FAB bags allow girls to do just that while looking HIP and HOT

*Small bags with chain shoulder straps are making a swift approach on their larger friends, these are great option for day to evening!!

*Tribal print dresses are a fresh new look from a number of designers that I am LOVING, pick your favorite one and stack your arms with bangles...there you go! Fresh new look in a flash:)

This spring is very anticipated even by Floridians as we experienced some of our lowest lows ever. Hello, 30 degrees in Florida! It was fun to break out our cashmere but I think we are ALL looking forward to Spring!!

2010 is almost here!!!

Time to ring in a new year! I am a huge fan of new beginnings and a fresh start never hurt anyone. 2009 was a very tough year for many Americans, my family included!!! The events of the year still have my head and heart spinning:( A lot of things were out of our control and that makes it even more difficult. The economy has ripped a hole through Florida but my spirit cannot be broken:) I am greatful to be doing what I love and have my children who are the light of my life! My boutique is such fun and after lowering the price points to a level where every girl and come in and cheer themselves up the girls are shopping again! Who does not love to treat themselves, and now they all can:)
I want to thank you all for your support this past year and look forward to bringing you the latest greatest in fashion this year.

Please save the date for my next Girls Night Out, champagne is on me and it is always a FUN night January 21, 2010:)!

Very Exciting Times at Kourtney Pulitzer:)

Well we are back to blogging! This summer was great as I got to spend a lot of time with my family and plan and execute my next BIG move!
