KP Top 5 things for a stylish 2011

1. OM time!  Re connect your mind and body.  This ancient practice is ALL it is said to be and then some. Your body, mind , and soul will THANK YOU for honoring your self in 2011

2. Simplify your life by simplifying your closet.  Please do yourself a favor in the new year and rid your closet of pieces that do not fit and pieces you have not worn in 2010, chances are you will not wear them this year either and they are weighing you down!

3. Find the perfect pair of denim that fits your current lifestyle and size:)  Do you need a new pair of skinny jeans, have you been dying for a slouchy boyfriend fit, how about a charcoal pair?  Whatever your hearts desire let it be your new year gift to self.  You will wear them into the ground and enjoy every minute, you DESERVE it!!

4. Re- organize and style your beside personal space.  This ritual is SO important to feeling connected your your style and true self!!!  It is the last thing you see each evening and what you wake up to every day!!!  Make this private space an alter to all things YOU.

5. Let your hair down and have some fun!!!!!!!!!!

There NO place like Home

I am preparing an amazing post about my magical trip home for the weekend:)  It has been said many times and it is true, there is NO place like home!!!!  I was so calm and excited at the same time to be in such a comfortable place.  Many of you know I now live in South Florida and like it here very much.  However South Florida has very little "Southern" charm and I was WAY overdue for a dose of just that.

I would like to think that one day I will spend a lot more than long weekends in Texas.  It is in my heart and soul and I am PROUD to be a TEXAN!!!

p.s.  I will post more glimpses of home tomorrow

Homemade Butter:))

I went to my daughters class Thanksgiving Day Feast yesterday!
It was complete with the Mayflower "stage", lots of indians and pilgrims, a FULL Thanksgiving spread , AND yes AND homemade butter!
The children made it first thing in the morning right before their play and our wonderful meal.  The whole presentation was just that much MORE special because of it!!
I am planning on adding this amazing touch of wonderfulness to my spread on Thursday:)

You can too, it is so easy

Fall Transitional Pieces

I always love transitional pieces popped into my wardrobe!  Things like leather shorts only "work" for a short time because leather does not work in the summer and shorts do not work very long into fall.  They are born to be trends and that is what makes leather shorts fun, fun, fun!!
Get them before it is toooo late:)
