New Obsession: Paddleboarding

Most of you know I closed my shop to focus on my family and gear up to move to Alabama. I am SO enjoying the time to myself and have been catching up on all the things I did not have time to do when I was running the shop!

So... todays adventure was a trip to Jupiter to go paddleboarding with a small group of friends.

I am taking an oath to enjoy all the "Florida Lifestyle" options in our area while I can.

Think "live like tourist".

Over my kids Spring Break we went to South Beach, Peanut Island and Marlins spring training to get us off and running!!

Today we met some great friends at Jupiter Kite Boarding

for a guided tour with Barry. She gave us an amazing tour (AND WORKOUT!!)

We topped it off with lunch at Hog Snappers

which pretty much blew our minds it was SO good!!

smothered mussels were totally OFF the chart!

New Adventure for The Pulitzers:))

Mac and I are honored to announce what we have been so busy working on, it looks like ALL the hard work in paying off as we introduce

The Pulitzer Hotel

We could not be more thrilled to be taking our lives in such a new and exciting direction. We have fallen in LOVE with this southern coastal town and I just know you all will as well. It oozes SOUTHERN CHARM!

We are looking forward to sharing it with all of you and invite you to come visit

I am almost free!!!

Today I am packing up my office and preparing to walk out the door of my shop for the last time:)

I am very excited for all the changes that are happening for my family!!!

I am also very excited to rev up my blog in a major way!

First thing up is a little break to focus on my kids then, I plan
to start posting some great things that I have been dying to share via my blog
but have just been to overloaded to take on

Be on the lookout for major changes including:

a name change

tons of new and original content

possibly an online shop with a few of my faves

I am planning on a total closet overhaul that I will be documenting and blogging:))

KP style is headed in a NEW direction:)

I am very excited about a new opportunity for me and my family!

I have decided to close my West Palm Beach location and take a break before relocating this summer:)

I am intending on re-doing parts of my house with furniture from my shop very soon! First up is re-working our living room. This color palate is basically where I am headed and will post pics as soon as I get it all installed!

Yay!! Yay for change:))

I also intend to rev up this blog with all the new inspiration headed my way!

It was actually very limiting creatively to dress solely in items that were for sale in my shop:(

I am going to organize my things and break out all my old favorites. I am also going to spruce up my wardrobe with a few key spring items and will catalog these looks as well, sooooo excited!

My trip home was BEYOND a vacation

One afternoon after a "disagreement" with my husband I quickly dialed my aunt and mother as I always do when I need a shoulder to cry on or just someone to listen! Well on this day my Aunt Donna suggested a girls weekend getaway:) Just the thought changed my entire mood and I began planning my escape to all things familiar and all the different places I was going to eat mexican food. LOL
Needless to say my husband and I kissed and made up but I had to break the news that I was headed on a little getaway, by myself:)

My Aunt has homes in Houston and Galveston so we visited both. From the moment she scooped me up from George Bush International I was spoiled rotten!!!!!!!!!! We shopped til we dropped, and ate at all the finest Houston hot spots. Tiny Boxwoods, Neimans Tea Room, Goode Co. BBQ, Armandos, Papasitos, just to name a few!

One of my favorite parts of my getaway was simply being at home in her home:)))) There is nothing that compares to being surrounded by things that take you back to your childhood

I love you Aunt Donna!!!!

There NO place like Home

I am preparing an amazing post about my magical trip home for the weekend:) It has been said many times and it is true, there is NO place like home!!!! I was so calm and excited at the same time to be in such a comfortable place. Many of you know I now live in South Florida and like it here very much. However South Florida has very little "Southern" charm and I was WAY overdue for a dose of just that.

I would like to think that one day I will spend a lot more than long weekends in Texas. It is in my heart and soul and I am PROUD to be a TEXAN!!!
